Review: Munchkin Splash Along Mermaid

We are BIG fans of bath time in this house. It tends to be a whole family affair, Georgie gets in first and gets lovely and clean, then Frankie joins her for some splashing and to show her how some of the bath toys do their thing but the real fun begins when Gee gets ready for bed and Frankie is allowed to fill the bath up some more.

In come the tile letters, bath crayons, squirters, bubbles and cups for pouring. Frankie would happily spend hours in the bath so I was quick to say ‘yes please!’ when we were offered the Munchkin Splash Along Mermaid to review.

This bath toy is a 2 part set including the mermaid and it’s little starfish friend. The starfish is a lovely little water squirter but the proper fun lies with the mermaid. You can pull her crown which sends her shooting through the water!

We’ve had a few toys like this before and have been a bit disappointed by them as they just seem to stay put and do a half hearted flap. This one seems much more powerful and Frankie loves to set her off under the bubbles so she pops up in the other side of them. I can also see this being brilliant fun for the girls to play with together once Georgie is a bit older, Frankie loves ‘sending’ thing to Gee so she’ll love zooming this across the bath to her little sister.

I kid you not when I say Frankie loves this mermaid so much that I’ve had to dry it off on a number of occasions so it can go to bed with her! We love the Splash Along Mermaid and her starfish friend and would give it top marks for bath time fun.

Disclaimer: we were sent this bath toy to review free of charge but all words and opinions are my (and Frankie’s!) own.

My kids love having toys in the bath. The problem I find is the water gets stuck in a lot of them and they end up going horrible :(

This looks fantastic, I have all daughters and they would absolutely love this, we currently have mermaid barbie splashing in our tub!

Chantelle, fill the toys up with a Milton and water solution, give a good shake and squirt all the water out and all the black will come out.
