Georgiana: Three Months Old

gee3monthsGeorgiana,

I realised a few days ago that there is no 29th of this month, so you are actually 3 months old on a non existent day. Today is actually the 3 months anniversary of my waters breaking, the day that I woke up thinking ‘woohoo I’ve got to 38 weeks pregnant’ only to realise you were actually ready to arrive!

You are a quarter of a year old! How did that happen? This is the THE month, the month we have got to just enjoy you. The month that we haven’t had to rush you to hospital. The month we have just been able to learn how to be your Mama, your Daddy and your big sister. It’s been lovely.

You’ve had a few firsts… your first trip to the swimming pool. You love baths so we knew you’d love the swimming pool and we were right. You were in there for a good 20 minutes… kicking and watching your big sister trying to learn to swim. You adored being swished through the water. You’ve also had your first little photoshoot. A friend of your Auntie Sofie is a fantastic photographer and took some beautiful photos of you and Frankie (Mummy even joined in a little bit too).

You also finally had your 8 week jabs (at 12 weeks!) and you made me pretty proud! I got to be the smug mum whose baby didn’t cry and not once were you unsettled or feverish afterwards.

This month you’ve finally made it in to 0-3 months clothes and you’re starting to look so robust. You’ve gone from looking very blotchy and screwed up to a proper baby girl. You haven’t lost any of your beautiful hair and everyone tells me how pretty you are… not that I don’t already know that ;)

We are starting to get you in to routine and you seem to be reacting quite well to it. You sleep in bed with us most of the time at night which works well, and at the moment you only wake up at 4:30am for 3 or 4oz and then go back to sleep until 7:30/8am. It’s so lovely to not dread the nights.

Thankyou for a lovely relaxing month… we can’t wait for the next one.
