35 Weeks Pregnant: Breech

5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! 5 weeks to go! – Not that I’m excited or impatient or anything stupid like that…

On Tuesday I had my 34 week consultant appointment and scan, it turns out I had guessed correctly and Madam is currently breech. As well as this it would seem she’s getting the full package of my genes as her tummy is measuring large and her legs very short! I have a little extra amniotic fluid, nothing they’re going to worry about for now but hopefully that means she should find it easier to turn round.

I have until November 20th to get this little lady upside down before they book me in for a c-section at 38/39 weeks so any tips on spinning her would be massively appreciated. I’m already crawling up the stairs on my hands and knees, and rocking back and forth on the arm of the sofa. I think the next step to blow up the birthing ball and look into specialist acupuncture. I’m determined that I’m not having a c-section but at the same time I’m 100% decided that if she won’t turn I won’t be trying to birth naturally – after Francesca’s speedy exit I just don’t feel like it’s the safest option for both myself and the baby.

In the mean time we are finishing off bits round the house, I spent a day this weekend sorting out both my girl’s wardrobes and this weekend sees Madam’s nursery being finished. I’d also love to finish off Francesca’s bedroom, I want her to feel as though as she has her own special place in this house that’s just for her – I don’t think she’s going to know what’s hit her when this new baby arrives.

Where’s everyone’s favourite places to pick up nice things for children and baby bedrooms? And once again any tips of turning this baby round would be hugely appreciated!

PS – Our big girl turns 2 a month today… how scary is that!!!

Oooh how exciting, only 5-weeks to go!! You are exactly 5 weeks ahead of me then, I have 10 weeks to go and it feels like it is flying by. Hope you manage to turn the little lady, but don’t stress about it – what will be will be xx
